Hey there, Sprowds. Today is Monday, September 16th, 2019. It is also the feast days of St. Cornelius and Cyprian. This week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, we are talking about friendship. What are the characteristics of a good and holy friendship?

0:42.9

Our objective this week is to inform you so that you might not only choose good friends for

0:50.0

yourself now and all throughout your life, but so that you might also be a good friend for those

0:58.7

in your life. Now there are five characteristics for friendship, a good Christian holy friendship

2:16.4

the rightful pope. So even though he was exiled, he continued to work as

2:21.8

Pope and to pray very hard for the church. Siprian was also a clergy member, but he did not believe that

2:32.9

this false pope was the true Pope. He was a dear friend of St.

2:36.8

Cornelius, and he worked hard to defend Cornelius as the true pope.

2:42.4

Cornelius was eventually martyred for his faith, and we still see him as the true pope, the true pope at the time.

2:51.4

And so these two friends lived during a very dangerous time, and yet they were united so

2:57.6

strongly in their faith in Jesus Christ and the church that he created, knowing that Cyprian
