This week on the Catholic Sprout's podcast, we are talking about holiness for girls.

Last week, we heard about holiness for boys, and although there is lots of things that girls

can embrace and learn from there, it's time that we talk about girls specifically.

Now, before we get into this, let's just talk about the concept of being a girl in the world

today.

Now, some people might feel, or maybe you even feel a little bit, that being a girl

is seen by the world is not quite as good as being a boy.

We know that this is not true, but there are forces in the world that seem to think this.

For example, we have never had a woman president in the United States.

Also, we might think that the church might even feel this way because there has never,

there is never and will never be women priests.

Now, why is this?

Well, the reason why we're having two separate weeks on this topic, one for the

holiness of boys and one for the holiness of girls, is because

although we are all human beings and share so much in common, there is a difference between

a boy and a girl. Although we are all equal, we are not the same. There is a difference. In the creation story back in

Genesis, we hear that God didn't create boys and girls at the same time. First, he created

Adam. Adam named the animals, but Adam was lonely. He looked through all the

animals and he couldn't find a companion that was good for him, someone that was equal to him,
