0:29.1	Today is also the feast day of St. Sebastian.
0:32.9	St. Sebastian was a soldier in the Roman army during that period of time when the church was persecuted,
0:40.6	when Rome was deliberately arresting, torturing, and killing people for their Christian faith.
0:47.3	Despite this, Sebastian converted and became a zealous Christian, even as he continued to serve in the army. He not only helped to convert
0:56.8	other soldiers, but he also ministered to Christians who had been arrested. Eventually, he was
1:03.7	discovered, and the emperor sentenced him to death. He was tied to a post, and other soldiers
1:09.9	shot him all full of arrows. He was then left there to die.
1:15.4	Fortunately, other Christians came. They untied Sebastian thinking he was dead, but he wasn't.
1:22.5	They nursed him, tended to his wounds, he recovered, and still so impassioned to spread the truth of Jesus Christ.
1:31.2	He went, marched in to talk to the emperor, and of course the emperor was not open to hearing his
1:37.7	message and he was killed by being clubbed to death. But Sebastian reminds a great example to us of how we should be so zealous about sharing the faith
1:48.5	with no regard for anything else.
