Greetings young Squire Sprouts. Today is the 18th day in the first month in the year of our Lord 2025. My name is Sir Roland Peter Lot and you're listening to Saturdays with

Sir Rowland on Catholic Sprouts where every Saturday we discuss the art of Dragon Sane. Today I would

like to discuss the word temptation.

If you're a long time listener into Saturdays with Sir Roland, you will know that we define

dragons as sins, temptations, and obstacles to becoming saints. Temptations aren't sinful in and of

themselves, and we all get tempted sometimes. But temptations can lead to sins, and so we must

understand our temptations and work to slay them with virtuous decisions. So what are temptations?

Temptations are things that entice us to do evil, or that we know we're not supposed to do.

Dragons often use temptations to allure us away from God, and dragons are temptations to prompt us to do evil or sin.

Can you think of examples of common temptations we may face in everyday life?

Perhaps it's a big bag of candy. Perhaps it's the answer key to a spelling test just sitting on the teacher's desk,

or it's your buddy's answers to the test that you can see out of the corner of your eye. Maybe it's the opportunity to make fun of someone else,

to make them look bad, or to get other people to laugh. Maybe it's the chance to brag about

how you scored 20 points at your last basketball game, or how you beat your brother in the last

family game of Katon. Maybe it's a snooze button on the alarm clock or the opportunity to get even with someone

who's wronged you.

Maybe it's your brother's favorite toy just sitting on the table when he isn't around.

Or it's that computer game when you have homework to do.

When we pray the Our Father, we ask God not to lead us into temptation.

And while God may not lead us into temptations,
