Cat's Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith.

Hey there, sprouts. Today is Friday, October 18th, 2024. Today is also the feast day of one of the men who

0:30.4

wrote a gospel. St. Luke the evangelist has his feast day today. We know that Luke may not have met Jesus, but he hung out

0:39.9

with tons of people who had met Jesus. He was a traveling companion of St. Paul. And as the story

0:48.2

goes, when they were on a break from a trip, St. Paul and St. Luke went to Jerusalem to spend time with Mary. While they

1:30.5

various places and built churches. Those were all written by St. Luke, who we remember was a Greek

1:36.9

physician. And Luke himself eventually died a martyr in Greece when he was 80 years old.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of your
