Summary

This week we are returning to our series: The ABC's of the Catholic Faith. It's week seven, so that means we are on the letter G, and will be talking about Grace. Although this is a difficult topic (you can't see, touch, or smell grace!) we will do our best, and pray that God will help us understand Him and His gifts just a bit more fully!

0:31.4	Today is the feast of the holy guardian angels.
0:35.4	Throughout scripture, it is clear that God not only created humanity, but he also
0:41.4	created angels. Angels are purely spiritual beings. They also have free will and intellect.
0:52.0	Now, a long time ago, part of the angels, a third of the angels rebelled. They fought
0:58.4	against God and they were cast into hell. Their leader was and continues to be Lucifer.
1:05.2	But two thirds of the angels remained loyal to God. They love and adore him, and they devote their entire existence to praising God and
1:16.3	fulfilling His will.
1:18.1	There are so many different types of angels.
1:20.7	Some exist only in heaven, praising God around his altar.
1:25.0	Others are sent as messengers, and others have special duties. One of these
1:30.0	groups of angels are guardian angels. When Jesus is greeting children in Matthew's gospel and the
1:37.6	disciples are sending them away, Jesus says to them, he says, see that you do not despise one of these little ones.
1:46.6	For I tell you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my father who is in heaven.
1:55.2	Now through this, of course, there's lots of questions that we have about angels even from this statement from Jesus. But it's clear
