Summary

This week we are returning to our series: The ABC's of the Catholic Faith. It's week seven, so that means we are on the letter G, and will be talking about Grace. Although this is a difficult topic (you can't see, touch, or smell grace!) we will do our best, and pray that God will help us understand Him and His gifts just a bit more fully!

We have already done our very best to understand what grace is, what grace does when it

enters our life. And yesterday we talked about the first type of grace, which is sanctifying grace,

that we receive through the sacrament of baptism and renew through the sacrament of reconciliation.

Today we are going to talk about the second type of grace, that is actual grace.

Before we dive into that, though, let's pray.

Please join me in our October prayer, the morning offering. In the name offering in the name of the father and of the

son and of the Holy Spirit amen oh Jesus through the immaculate heart of Mary I offer you my prayers

works joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your sacred heart,

in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins,

for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.

So yesterday we talked about sanctifying grace. Today we are moving on to actual grace.

So remember, sanctifying grace is something that we receive through baptism that remains in us.

It is this internal presence of God inside of us, that we avoid sin so that we can protect

But a lot of the times, if you enter into this Christian life, you feel God's presence in the
