Hey there, sprouts. Today is Tuesday, July 30th, 2024. Today is also the feast day of St. Leopold Mandeke. St. Leopold was born in 1866. He died in 1942, and he was a very sick man. He was hunched back. He had

gnarled hands, and he had a terrible stammer. And even when he was full grown, he was only

four feet, four inches tall. So very, very small. In fact, at the end of his life,

he got so sick and has such chronic pain that he could barely say mass. And yet this very

sick man had a powerful ministry in the confessional. For 12 hours a day, even when he was at his

weakest, he would sit hearing confessions and offering spiritual direction. And because of the

many miracles he worked, being able to read people's soul, offer miraculous

insights or powerful guidance, he is now remembered as a saint.

Now this week, we are concluding our study of the chrygma by looking at the final truth.

God's command that we go forth and proclaim the good news of God's

saving love. Before we dive into this, though, please join me in praying the Anima Christi.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ save me. Blood of Christ

emboldened me. Water from the side of Christ wash me. Passion of Christ strengthen me.

Good Jesus, hear me. Within your wounds, hide me. Never permit me to be parted from you.

From the evil enemy defend me. At the hour of my death, call me and bid me come to you,

that with your saints, I may praise you for age upon age amen so like i said we are talking about the seventh truth of the corigma god's command to go forth

and proclaim the good news of god's saving love. Today we are going to

talk about this first word, go, go. Remember what happened after Jesus ascended into heaven.
