Today is the 29th day in the sixth month in the year of our Lord,

2024.

My name is Cyril and Peterlot, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir

alone on Catholic Sprouts, where every Saturday we discuss the art of

Dragon Saint.

Today we celebrate the feast day of two of the most

famous saints who ever lived, Saints Peter and Paul. Peter and Paul were both early leaders in our

church. Of course, Peter was the first pope, and Paul was one of the greatest missionaries who

ever lived, converting thousands to the faith. But I think that Peter and Paul are most well known,

not because of their original holiness, but because of their transformation.

They were both sinners who did awful things, and then Jesus transformed them into great saints.

Peter's temper often got him in trouble, and we all know the story of how he denied Jesus three times.

Paul was originally one of the worst enemies of the early church, as he persecuted and killed the Christians until he met Jesus on the road to Damascus, and then his life changed forever.

Both Peter and Paul were prideful, until they met Jesus. Jesus took that stubborn pride in both men and transformed it in the key ingredient for virtue, humility.

Today, I'm going to start a new series on the Seven Sacraments.

Sacraments give us supernatural grace and transform us to be the dragon-sayer's God is calling us to be.

As you know, seven is a very holy number.

And on this podcast, we use that number a lot to help us face, fight, and defeat the seven deadly dragons.
