1:06.4	Today is Monday, July 1st, 2004. Today is also the feast day of St. Oliver Plunkett. Now, St. Oliver
1:16.5	Plunkett lived in the 1600s in Ireland. And if you know church history just a little bit,
1:23.6	you know that this was a very dangerous time for Catholics in Great Britain, particularly in Ireland.
1:30.6	So St. Oliver Plunkett felt the call to the priesthood. He studied for the priesthood, but then went to
1:37.1	Rome, where he continued to study. He was ordained, and he eventually was named the Archbishop of all of Ireland. Now this was taking
1:47.4	place during the Irish Rebellion when Catholics in Ireland were fighting for their right to be Catholic
1:53.9	because the English Reformation had happened. England had broken with the Catholic Church, and they were trying to
2:02.8	eradicate Catholicism all throughout Great Britain, including Ireland. But the Irish Catholics
2:09.2	held tight to their faith. And part of that is because of good leadership, in particular,
