Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Thursday, June 13th, 2024. Today is also the feast day of St. Anthony of Padua.

Now, this week we have been talking about the works of mercy. We have discussed the five-finger gospel,

the corporal, and then the spiritual works of mercy. We are going to round out the week, both today and tomorrow, telling stories of great saints who are celebrating their feast days.

Because here's a little tip for you. Every single saint practiced the

corporal and spiritual works of mercy. They practiced them in different ways because they lived

in different places and different times. The people around them had different needs. But every single saint in heaven

was devoted to the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. So we are going to read one saint's story

today and one tomorrow. And as you listen, just keep those works of mercy in mind. Just think, how did these works of

mercy come to be in this saint's life? And how can I model myself after this saint and also

practice these works of mercy? So today we are going to be hearing the story of St. Anthony
