Hey there, Spouts. Today is Friday, June 14th, 2020. This week we have been talking about the works of mercy. This is our warm up for vacation Bible school that Catholic Sprouts is

But we have been talking about the works of mercy all week.

We've talked about the five-finger gospel, the corporal works of mercy, spiritual works of mercy.

And yesterday on his feast day, we heard the story of St. Anthony of Padua,

who was a master of the spiritual works of mercy. Today we are going to hear the story of another saint.

She actually will be celebrating her feast day on the 16th, which is Sunday, Saint Lugardis of Belgium. But before we get to her, please join me in

our June prayer, the prayer to the sacred heart of Jesus. In the name of the Father and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit, amen. O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you,

and with lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble,

patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will. Grant good Jesus that I may live in

you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health
