Summary

This week we are continuing our 40 days with the Martyr's Lenten Series! Join us in saying this prayer each day:

ST PETER'S CHAINS PRAYER:

O God, Who caused St. Peter, the apostle, to depart, loosed from his chains and unhurt,

loose, we beg You, the chains of our sins,

and graciously keep all evils far from us.

Bless us this Lent and give us the faith of the martyrs.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

0:39.5	martyr, St. Peter Kbe from Japan. He has an incredible story about endurance. But before we

1:23.5	mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. So blessed Peter Kabe. So blessed Peter Kbe, he lived in the
1:33.2	1500s. So if you remember, we talked about St. Paul Miki earlier this week. He was martyred in the year 1597.
1:49.3	At that time, Peter Keebe was just 10 years old.
1:52.3	So he was growing up in a Christian home.
1:57.9	He watched these heroic priests offer their lives for Jesus as martyrs.
2:04.7	And he was being formed at this time by Jesuit priests that were their secret.
2:11.6	But when he was about that age, when all these men were dying as martyrs, Blessed Peter Kabe asked to leave with the martyrs. So he actually left Japan with a couple of Jesuits. He was determined to
2:18.7	become a priest. However, as the time passed, the Jesuits, they just didn't really think he
