ST PETER'S CHAINS PRAYER:

O God, Who caused St. Peter, the apostle, to depart, loosed from his chains and unhurt,

loose, we beg You, the chains of our sins,

and graciously keep all evils far from us.

Bless us this Lent and give us the faith of the martyrs.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

0:58.0	And today we're going all the way around the globe to St. Lorenzo Reh in the Philippines, and he lived in the 1600s. So a whole different time period, but a very important martyr. Before we talk about

1:47.2	So, St. Lorenzo-Riaz. Like I said, he lived in the 1600s. His mother was Filipino. His father was
1:56.7	Chinese, but he was born in the Philippines. And because of his parents, he spoke both Chinese
2:04.6	and Tagalog, which is the Vietnamese dialect. Now, he was raised in the faith. He was very
2:12.2	devout. He was an altar boy, an altar server like many of you might be.
2:17.6	He was educated by the Dominicans.
2:20.8	And an interesting thing about him is that he had beautiful handwriting.
2:25.8	And so at the time, you know, if something had to be written so a lot of people could see it,
