Roland on Catholic Sprouts were every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

It is so great to be back with you. I've missed you the last few weeks and I've been praying for you every day. I hope you're having a very Merry Christmas and that your New Year is off to a great start.

Turning the calendar to a new year is always a great time to form new good habits, get rid of bad habits,

and improve our lives. Many people make

New Year's resolutions, such as eating healthier, exercising, spending more time outdoors and

less time on screens, spending more time with the people you love, reading great books,

and the list goes on. Many of our New Year's resolutions help us to be healthier,

physically, mentally, and emotionally, which is all great. But today,

I'm going to challenge you to make a New Year's resolution to be healthier spiritually, because we are

kicking off the year of our Lord 2023 by studying a dragon that lurks under the surface to make us

spiritually ill, which is, of course, the yellow dragon. We left off last year discussing the red dragon

of pride named Kinawax and the orange dragon of envy named Invida. Before I discuss the signs and

symptoms of the yellow dragon, let's first discuss the color yellow and how it brings goodness,

beauty, and truth to the world so we can see what the yellow dragon is trying to destroy.

The color yellow is happy, warm, and exciting. It is the color of the noonday sun. It is full of

energy and burns with hot passion, spreading its vitality to the whole world. It brings a light

and warmth without which there would be no life on earth. Yellow signifies joy, happiness,

cheerfulness, friendliness, optimism, confidence, and communication. Can you see how yellow is a great

color to associate with your New Year's resolutions to be happier, healthier, and holier in
