0:32.2	Today we also are in the second day of Advent.
0:34.2	Advent started yesterday.
0:42.9	And the season of stillness, waiting, and preparation is asking you to enter in.
0:47.9	So today on the Catholic Express podcast, we are going to talk about Advent, but we're going to talk about it in the context of something even bigger. We're going to talk about it in the
0:52.9	context of a gift from the Holy Spirit,
0:56.2	a gift that helps us become saints and face difficult or even scary things, and that gift is
1:03.9	fortitude. But even though it is Advent, we are still in November, so we have a couple of days
1:10.3	to finish up those challenges from St. Martin De Poris and our B.S.A. St. Kids Club. One of those being memorizing the prayer for the dead. So if you will join me, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
1:26.9	In your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters.
1:32.0	In this life, you embrace them with your tender love.
1:36.5	Deliver them now from every evil and bid them eternal rest.
1:41.8	The old order has passed away. Welcome them into paradise where there will be
1:47.8	no sorrow, no weeping or pain, but fullness of peace and joy with your son and the Holy Spirit
1:55.4	forever and ever. Amen. So, what is the gift of fortitude? Well, as you remember, we are talking about the
2:06.9	gifts of the Holy Spirit. Now, these are way beyond just things that we can cultivate in ourselves
2:13.1	through a good plan and discipline. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are supernatural gifts.
2:20.8	They are things that we receive from God, His grace dwelling inside of us, that enables us
2:29.0	to be more than we are without God and to accomplish more through these gifts, through the Holy Spirit.
2:37.0	So fortitude, sometimes we think this just means the ability to like keep going when it's tough,
