Today is the 26th month in the year of our Lord 2022.

My name is Sir Roland Peter Lott, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Rowland on Catholic Sprouts,

where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon sling. Last week we began our discussion on the orange dragon named Envidia.

This dragon of envy wants you to feel sorrow when others do well and feel happy when others

fail. He does this by convincing you that God's love is a competition, and so we compare

ourselves to others and forget we are unique and loved

as sons and daughters of the father. To help us fight this dragon, I have invoked the intercession

of a legendary dragon-slayer, St. Joseph, and I will now read the letter I received from him

to give to all of you. To the Dragon Slayers Training Guild members of Sir Roland Paterlot, faithful knight to the one true

light and all Catholic Sprouts listeners, I am Joseph, loyal son of God the Father, faithful

father to God the son, humble spouse of the most blessed Virgin Mary, and guardian protector

of Holy Mother Church.

I am an ordinary man, but God entrusted me with an extraordinary mission.

When Mary and I were betrothed, she told me that she was expecting a child that was conceived

by the Holy Spirit, and that child was destined to be the Savior of all mankind,

the child that would be the light of the world and the slayer of all dragons, even death.

At first I felt confused and scared.

I decided there was perhaps my duty to distance myself from such a situation.

For even if this child truly was the son of God, who am I to be his father?

I certainly wasn't worthy.
