Hey there, Spouse. Today is Friday, November 25th, 2022. Now this week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we have been talking about encounter, which is the beginning of a relationship

with Jesus Christ.

We are going to continue to talk about that today,

but first and foremost, let's respond to our patron for the B.S.

A. St. Kids Club this month and his challenge for us to pray for our beloved dead

by praying the prayer we are memorizing.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. In your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters.

In this life, you embrace them with your tender love. Deliver them now from every evil and bid them eternal rest. The old order has passed away.

Welcome them into paradise where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain. But fullness of

peace and joy with your son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

So before we talk about the final way that we are called to encounter Jesus Christ,

I would like to introduce you to two blessed, two people that have been declared blessed by

our church that are celebrating their

feast day today. These two people are blessed Maria and Luigi Beltrame. Now, they were an

Italian couple. They lived during the era around World War II, and they are the first married couple that were beatified together.

They were beatified by Pope John Paul II.

And what's so interesting is that if you look through all of the saints that we have, most of them were either priests or nuns.

We do have a couple that were married, but we have very few husband and wife couples that are

beatified together. Maria and Luigi, along with just a couple others, are on that short list.

So why are these two people saints?

Well, if you look through their life, you're going to realize something.
