Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, September 6th, 2020. Now this week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are continuing on with our Bia St. Kids Club and the challenges laid before us by Blessed Carlo Acudis. The first of those is to

pray and memorize the morning offering. So if you will join me in prayer, in the name of the Father,

for all the intentions of your sacred heart in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.

This week on the podcast, we are talking about the Eucharist.

Yesterday we talked about Passover and how this event that happened thousands of years before Jesus was alive on earth,

that it reveals to us how the Eucharist was God's eternal plan.

Now, today we're going to talk about something that happened before the last supper, but during Jesus' life,

and this is the multiplication of loaves,

the feeding of the 5,000. Now, there are several of these stories in the gospel. Jesus fed huge

groups of people a couple of times, and you know the basics of this story, right? Jesus was preaching.

They're in a deserted place. The people are

hungry and they don't have any food with them. Jesus feels sorry for them and tells his disciples

to feed them. And of course, the disciples are like, how are we supposed to do that? We don't have

enough money. Send them into town to get some food. Of course, Jesus, it's just so generous with us and seeing the needs of the people, he responds. He takes a small amount of bread and fish, gives thanks to God, tells the disciples to distribute it, and there is more than enough food for everyone.

So let's think about this for a second. Now, what can we learn about the heart of God from this story?

Number one is that he responds to our needs. He sees our needs and he has moved with pity when we show these needs to him. Number two, look at how

God provides for us. He provides with an overabundant generosity. If you read these stories,
