Hey there, Sprout. Today is Monday, September 5th, 2022. Today is also the Feastay of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. I bet you've heard of her before. St. Mother Teresa was born in 1910.

In 1928, she moved to Calcutta to teach in a school.

In 1950, she received a call to leave that order and found the missionaries of charity,

where they lived in the street and ministered to the poorest of the poor. Through this work, many people joined her and became missionaries of charity as well.

She received many important prizes and awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize.

She also spoke out about social issues like abortion, even to United States presidents. She was a remarkable woman and just like our

saint of the month, Blessed Carlo Akutis. The Eucharist was everything for St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

She began her day, as do all missionaries of charity, with a holy hour and mass,

so that they could be with Jesus fully present in the Eucharist,

and then go out into the world and find Jesus

present in each and every human being. So let's all pray, St. Mother Teresa, help us to recognize

Jesus in the digressing disguise of the poor. Now, Sprouts, it's September, and we are in our Be a Saint kids club.

So let's get started on our first challenge that Blessed Carlo Akutis offers us,

and that is to memorize and pray the morning offering.

Father's Son, Holy Spirit, amen. O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my

prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your sacred heart

in union with the holy sacrifice

of the mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins,

the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father
