Greetings young Squire Sprouts. Today is the 13th day in the eighth month in the year of our Lord 2022. My name is Sir Roland Paterlot, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Roland

on Catholic Sprouts where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon sling.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and anxious? Have you ever felt that you have too many things to do

and that you're always running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to get everything done?

I know I have. I'm sure all the moms and dads out there know what I'm talking about. Has the voice

in your brain ever sounded like this?

I got to get the hockey practice in the morning, and then piano, and then I have to study for a test coming up. I need to weed the garden, and I have to make sure the laundry gets folded, my room needs to get cleaned, and the litter box needs cleaned, and I have a 4-H meeting, and then I have to get to that report done for work, and then I have my podcast completed and have to get those Brussels sprouts cook so I can get to the baseball game on time.

What? I like Brussels sprouts. Anyway, sometimes we have way

too many things we need to get done and it can seem like we're more like human doings instead

of human beings. Well, that is when a dragon named Frantix likes to attack us. Frantix is another dragon in Sir Wyvern Pugelist's Dragon Slayer's Manual.

If you have the manual and look at his picture, he's kind of a cute dragon, but he has arms

coming out everywhere like a squid, holding all kinds of gadgets like a cell phone and pens and

papers and musical instruments and notebooks and tools.

This is a dragon of distraction,

and his goal is to keep you so busy and so overwhelmed with doing stuff that you forget to do

the most important things, like spending time with God. Now, you'll notice that nothing I named

in the list of things to do or in Frantic's arms are necessarily bad things.

Frantix is too smart for that. He uses good things to overwhelm dragon slayers. In fact, he's

attacking me right now as I try to meet my deadline for submitting this podcast. But no matter how many

good things you're doing, you can't really do them that well unless you take some time to rest
