Hello and welcome back. Happy Feast of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven. Today, my friends,

it's consecration day. We have been preparing for 33 days to give ourselves totally to Jesus through Mary. And today we make that commitment.

A commitment, I hope that you renew each and every year on this day. So I will be using a prayer

that is based on the original prayer written by St. Louis de Montford way back hundreds of years ago.

I'll be using that to consecrate myself and the Catholic Sprouts podcast. If you would like to,

So let's enter into prayer and ask that Mary really can help us

in giving ourselves totally to Jesus.

In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, amen.

O Jesus, true God and true man, only son of the Eternal Father, Son of Mary ever virgin,

I adore you with all my heart. Jesus, I give you thanks for taking the form of a slave, becoming man in order to rescue me from sin, the cruel slavery of the devil. I praise you because you

submitted yourself to Mary, your holy mother, in all things in order to make me your faithful servant through her.

But I have not kept the promises that I made to you at my baptism. On my own, I do not deserve to be called your child, and I dare not come

before you alone. You have given me Mary as a mediator, and through her intercession, I ask you to give me true

sorrow for my sins and forgiveness.

Mary, the living tabernacle of God, sure refuge of sinners whose mercy fails no one.
