0:32.5	who have no idea who you are, could you give us a brief background on yourself? Tell us at the end of the day,
0:38.8	what got you into real estate? Yeah, absolutely. So I'm Quentin West. I am an Airbnb expert, quote
0:45.7	unquote. I'm the CEO and founder of Shortcut to Superhost, where we have helped around 1,200 investors
0:51.6	start, optimize, or scale their short-term rental portfolio and create
0:56.2	even more financial freedom for themselves and their family. The way that I got started was a little
1:01.6	non-traditional. It was actually an accident. Always wanted to get started in real estate,
1:05.8	but definitely not the way that I did. So at the time, I was in between jobs. I had just swung a crane into a power line on a
1:14.5	job site in construction and decided I wasn't going to work in construction anymore. And so I got my
1:21.4	real estate license because in my mind I could kill two birds with one stone. I could make money
1:25.6	selling real estate and also learn how to invest myself. About three months into that, I made no money. And a friend of mine started talking about
1:34.1	Airbnb that he had. And at the time, I just kind of tucked it in the back of my mind. But then about,
1:39.6	you know, two months later, I started getting foreclosure notices. And so I was like, why don't I just put
1:44.7	this place on Airbnb? I'll move back in with mom and dad and, you know, it'll float me by for a
1:49.4	couple months. Never intended on creating a business out of it. Didn't really see it as an investment.
