It was a warm summer evening in Frankfurt, Germany.

Behind him, 13-year-old Jimmy McClister held on tight, laughing at how fast they were

speeding.

All of a sudden, David steered the bike down a dead end street and stopped.

When David got off the scooter, Jimmy followed him, still giddy from the ride.

But David wasn't laughing.
