Second Samuel chapter 14 verse 20, but my Lord has wisdom, like the wisdom of the angel of God,

0:12.0

to know all things that are on the earth. So this verse comes in the middle of a chapter that

0:19.8

revolves around David and Absalom and Joab. We don't have time to get into all the details of

0:27.6

the story here, but the reason I want to read this first and lead us to pray according to it,

0:33.1

because there's an acknowledgement here that God has given King David wisdom, wisdom to lead,

0:41.8

and we think about all the promises we have in the Bible. For those who are in Christ,

0:48.0

He is our wisdom. 1 Corinthians chapter 1 tells us James chapter 1, whenever you lack wisdom,

1:32.4

that I have the privilege of pastoring I pray all the time for wise courage or maybe a different

1:39.2

way to put it for courageous wisdom because you think about how unhelpful it is to have one of those

1:46.8

but not the other like to have wisdom to know what to do but to lack courage to do it. That's

1:54.4

not good or to have courage to have boldness no fear to act but without wisdom. I don't want to

2:03.4

act and be bold and courageous and foolish at the same time. So I want to encourage you to pray

2:11.6

for wise courage in your life and I want to lead us to pray that for each other right now based

2:19.0

on second Samuel chapter 14. God, we pray in each of our lives for wise courage for courageous

2:31.2

wisdom. God, we pray that you would give us wisdom just as you promised in your word. I think about

2:39.6

all the different things going on in my life and in the lives of every single person who's
