Melissa Malie is a 14-year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency, all that time spent in what is called the clandestine service, and most of that time, interestingly enough, overseas. She became a senior operations officer in CIA

with a specialty in the Middle East. She is an Arabist, an Arab speaker, and has majored in that area, and continues after leaving

the agency to consult in it.
