It's Friday, January 19, and here are this week's headlines from the Heaven Bent Universe.

Renee Good Father-in-law doesn't blame ICE for death.

As I'm writing this, President Donald Trump is threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota.

This would be a serious escalation of a situation that's already turned fatal for

Renee Good. She's the Minnesotan woman who was shot and killed by an ICE agent last week. But

we all know that by now. I think the question is, more so, why am I bringing this up on heaven-bent

headlines? It's because of what Renee Good's former father-in-law said about her death on a CNN

interview. Well, you know, I'm not blaming anybody. I mean, it's a hard situation all the way around.

His name is Timmy Macklin, and he's a Christian and a Trump supporter.

And I'm going to let you hear just a moment of that interview now, but just for context,

Renee was previously married to this man's son, but when she was killed last week, she was married to a woman.

Rebecca Good.

You know, Becca, you know, she's a great person as well.

I mean, you know, I don't have any many enemies.

I love everybody, and that's what the Bible tells us, love our neighbors as we love herself.

But, you know, I think there's some bad choices, and the word says, for the raft of God,

will come up on the children of disobedience. And, you know, it's, I don't blame my eyes.

I don't blame Rebecca. I don't blame Renee. I just, you know, I just wish that, you know,

if we're walking the spirit of God, I don't think she would have been there.

Renee Good was 37 years old, a wife, mother, and an award-winning poet.
