Rob Reiner warned of Christian nationalism.

There were so many tragedies in the news the past week,

including the shooting at Brown University, the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach, and the shocking death of actor and director Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle,

allegedly at the hands of their own son.

And you, I'm sure, know the whole thing, but hours later, President Trump called him deranged for his political activism, which for our purposes

involved being extremely outspoken about the dangers of Christian nationalism.

In his own words about it, here's a few minutes from a 2024 interview that Rob did with Chris Wallace from CNN.

It's not Christianity. It's about, it's a political movement. They use the term,

you know, Christian national or they use whatever motive they have to get their ends as God is telling us this is what we need to do.

But make no mistake, this is not about the teachings of Jesus.

That CNN interview was part of Rob Reiner's press tour for what at the time was his brand

new documentary, a documentary that he produced.

And it explored Christian nationalism and how it mixes up with faith and with power and with politics.
