This week, I've had no less than 10 executives call me and asked me what they should be doing about prospecting.

Along the way, I've had notes on Twitter, on Instagram, on Facebook Messenger, on LinkedIn,

with salespeople asking me what I should do. And one person said, what should we do about prospecting?

We're all waiting to hear from you. Now, I don't know why people

are waiting to hear from me about whether or not they should prospect, but the two questions have

emerged. Question number one is, should we be prospecting? Is it insensitive for us to prospect?

And question number two is, should we be calling people at all?

Is there something else we should be doing other than prospecting right now?

We're in chaos.

There's no doubt about it.

The coronavirus and the shutdown of the global economy is something that most of us, in fact, I think all of us,

have an experience in our lifetime. It's not like these of us, in fact, I think all of us haven't experienced in our lifetime.

It's not like these things haven't happened before.

They just haven't happened to us while we've been on earth.

So it's new, it's different, it's scary, and the truth is we don't really know what's going to happen on the other side of this.

Other than we will recover.

We will be back to doing business. we will be back to selling things commerce will continue will things be

different yeah they'll probably be different but we're going to be back so let's take each of the
