Welcome to Career Tools. Today's topic, Distant Manager Basics for Directs, Part 2. Here we go. Okay now our next point it's amazing to me how few people do this if you're co-located with your

boss and your boss wants to see what you're working on she can just say hey show me

that the draft of the that proposal you're working on.

And literally you just reach down to your desk and you just hand the, you hand the document to her.

But if you're remote, that opportunity doesn't exist.

And so the way to do that is make those documents available.

Take an extra step, get some shared space out in there.

There's a lot of technology.

If you're working for a large company, there's probably shared document spaces out there but make your work

the work you're working on whether it's in draft form or not make that available to your

boss again it's another way to share with your boss that you're working on

his or her priorities.
