Welcome to Career Tools. Today's topic, Distant Manager Basics, 4 Directs. Part part one here we go We were talking the other day know bosses and directs who were geographically located with this this client

and it's really interesting conversation because we thought we'd addressed it or at least I did.

You're probably smarter you know we

tools cast right but there's the there's the other side of it right direct side of it. We really didn't address it. We talked about it from the perspective of the manager, but there are two sides from it. And this particular person was the direct, was not co-located with their lead, and they felt kind of like in this situation where they were out of sight and out of mind.

And it occurred to us at that point, the distant manager's guidance applies to directs as well.

Yeah, it does.

Obviously, right? We'd love a world where the manager's engaging the right behaviors and the direct is engaging the right behaviors as well.

And that significantly reduces conflict and tension and so on, which of course in Greece's productivity.

Yeah, there's just a few things you can do and I think we may

have mentioned in that cast if not we've certainly been talking about it lately.

You and I have recently read and been surprised that we didn't think of it ourselves
