Today we're talking about the ghastly Paul Manafort, whose connections to Russia are manifest.

Manafort is Trump's one-time campaign manager, who became a little too lousy with Russian connections,

even for Trump's taste, and was dropped.

Paul Manafort has long been considered patient zero in La Ferruce.

I just say La Ferruce because Ben Whittist does, but doesn't it make our time seem part of real history,

and not like a Barnum and Bailey side show?

So we got two scoops last night, from CNN saying Manafort had been surveilled by the US government since 2014,

and from the New York Times, which had fascinating details of the pre-dawn raid on Manafort's house that he was subjected to over the summer.
