about the threat of larger and larger escalation in the Ukraine-Russia war.

Nukes is the question at hand.

Mr. Putin has spoken of Nukes for years.

The nuclear posture review underway in Washington directs attention to China as well as Russia.

However, the incursion, the curse sailing into into Russia suggests that there is risk here of Russia

lashing out in some fashion.

on escalation in the Ukraine-Russia war where we cannot at this point assume

we've seen the last of the increase in weaponry and range and violence,

including nuclear weapons more of this tonight.

Listen John I mean the costs of this war are so brutal but at the same time we're looking at the possibility of the nuclear

danger emerging in all this fighting and the incursion deep into Russia which we've

seen may make some feel gleeful, but the danger is enormous.

And I do think there is an element of desperation, rightly so on the part of the Ukrainians, but they want to see more weapons,

and there are people pundits commentators who are saying, some are saying this is a blunder on the

part of Ukraine because they can't beat Russia.

But others are saying give more weapons and you can see a true upending of a

situation, a political landscape that many have craved to seek over these last years.
