Summary

Contra.st is moving along! We got the website launched last week and so far we’ve got over 1,000 subscribers to the email list. By far, the biggest question has been – will Contra.st have a print version. The answer right now is a hard “maybe”. This last week I went ahead and made a demo issue using Blurb.com and I want to share that with you today. The quality is better than I thought, but still not up to the standard of other magazines out there such as Lenswork, Black And White, and the others. We’ll check it out in this video. They're sponsor of the show, super cool guys.

And I've had this idea for a while and I'm excited to kind of be bringing this out finally and what I want to do is produce a magazine because I think with

0:36.8

There if we get outside of video a little bit certain types of formats make more sense like portfolios or

0:42.9

written interviews or things like that so it'll be kind of fun and a nice creative

0:46.3

challenge for me to work with that alongside what we already do here but anyway by

0:50.2

far we launched the website let let's see, last week.

0:53.0

I've already had over a thousand subscribers to the email list.

0:56.2

Just, there's a notify me button, that's all.

The biggest question that I've had by far to this point

1:01.7

is, will there be a print edition of the magazine?

1:04.5

And the answer is a hard maybe.

1:07.1

I will be honest, this is something I really would like to do.

1:10.0

I think having a nice print version of the work that I put together in here

1:13.9

would be very important to do. One of the things that I wanted to research was

1:18.5

print on demand and so that's why I had this made. I did this over at blurb.com

1:22.1

and blurb do print on demand if you're not familiar with

1:25.2

what that is it's basically a way of doing printing where you can make books or

1:28.0

magazines where you can just order one copy if you want you don't have to do an
