Hello and welcome to the Friday August 10th 2018 edition of Tesla Daily on

official Tesla Podcast. My name is Rob Maauer. Today we are continuing the discussion of

Tesla potentially taking itself private. Tesla stock on Thursday continued the

down trend that we saw in the pre-market on Thursday morning, finishing down

4.83% to $342.45, this compared to the NASDAQ up 0.04%.

As I talked about yesterday, I continue to believe that the discount that the market is placing on this

potential privatization deal is more significant than it should be.

This just highlights how little trust the market seems to have in Elon Musk right now,

which is pretty ridiculous because the reaction to the Q2 earnings report, I believe, was

driven by the amount of trust that the market didn't have in Elon, and then finally the Q2 results

came in and they ended up being okay and the stock shot up you know 15 20 percent.

That being said it does make sense why there is some discount.

There's a lot of uncertainty here.

We don't have a ton of information coming from Tesla and we don't have really any

new information coming from Elon over we don't have really any new information coming

from Elon over the last couple of days. We have a little bit of news on the board

of directors and their actions.

C NBC says quote the Tesla Board of Directors plans to meet with financialors next week to formalize a process to explore

Elon Musk's take private proposal according to people familiar with the matter."

The other things that we've kind of seen have been stories about potentially the SEC investigating Elon Musk for his action. of Elon Musk. In the Bloomberg article with the somewhat misleading headline of, quote, the SEC

is intensifying its probe of Tesla, end quote. They continue on to say that, quote, the SEC inquiry

is preliminary and won't necessarily lead to anything more formal.
