This is CBSI on the world. I'm John Batchettcher. Gregory Copley, editor and publisher of

Defense and Foreign Affairs, my colleague and mentor, and we go to Western Europe because

the problems of democracy are evident in the streets of Western Europe.

Most recently, 100,000 or more people in the city of London behind a sign that read remigration.

The next day, the Prime Minister, Mr. Starmmer, defied logic by denouncing remigration marchers as plastic patriots.

At the same time, we have results from the German elections in North Rhine-Westphalia.

That's the most popular state of Germany, showing tripling of votes for the AFD.

At the same time, we have the French government in turmoil and the people of France in turmoil

because of the fall of yet another minister, and yet another government.

Mr. McCrone will not step down and will remain in office despite his weakness until his

term is finished.

I mentioned three things that all have this in common.

They're driven by populism, as we call it in the U.S. In Europe, they have different

names for it. It is nationalist. It is certainly keen on protecting what it regards as its culture.

And in Germany, in the East, it is extremely hostile to migrants, especially those who arrived after the Syrian conflagration of a decade ago.
