Hello, and welcome to Amen podcast. I'm lookahoney your host and today Alex is preaching about being consumed by God.

The Bible says that the Lord is our all-consuming fire, fire consumes, right?

So if you were to set fire to peace paper, it would turn it into ashes, right?

But God is a type of fire that consumes, but doesn't constrict.

So when he consumes us, it's not like a boa constrictor, which uses all of its muscles.

This giant snake that constricts its prey and chokes it out, God doesn't do that with the righteous.

The wicked will be constricted to hell, all-burning fire forever.

But for the righteous, God is the type of fire that purifies the righteous, pure gold, pure silver.

It's not burned by the fire. It's purified by the fire.

That is you and I or that is who you and I want to be, right?

So and all people want to be consumed by something, right?

You can see people who sell video games on the outside or even mobile app games on the outside and the reviews.

It'll say this game is so addicting, right? That's a bad thing to be addicted to something.

But we use that to market stuff because deep down marketers know people want to be consumed by something,

whether it's television, whether it's love, whether it's music, people who walk around all day with their earphones in,

people who overeat, we all are consumed by something.

Your heart is going to worship someone or something.

True freedom is found in worshiping Christ and being consumed by Him.

Real peace is what we're going to be talking about today and how it comes from those who are persecuted,

those who are pulled by God, those who are continually praising God,

they will be the ones that have great peace and if you want great peace,

the only way is being in the middle of God's fire and being set on fire by Him
