A couple days ago on the podcast I was talking about fears that get in the way of our consistency

and one of them is around what other people think or what we fear other people could think

in our world of imaginary assumptions and fears of judgment.

I had an experience with this and I wanted to share with you how I navigated it.

So many, many, many years ago I started working with a CrossFit coach one-on-one.

When I was very heavy and this was before tremendous weight loss, I felt very insecure,

but I did it and I loved it and it was so valuable and it's what got me into CrossFit.

And since then I have for the most part belonged to a CrossFit gym until maybe the last

couple of years and that's for a number of reasons.

First there wasn't really one close to me and then there wasn't a gym with like coaches

that I felt comfortable with that I felt like were really up to snuff and then it was with the

kids it was tough to find the time to get out to the gym and if I had time to get out that's not

what I wanted to do with. So I'd been working on it home but I really wanted to work out with a

trainer. However I've lost a lot of strength for many reasons. One of the big ones is three C

sections in a short period of time. Core strength wise and everything flows from your core right? Every

movement is core to extremity and I felt embarrassed. I felt embarrassed of the loss of strength

and not being as fit as I was before I had kids, not being as lean as I was before I had kids

and that kept me from doing it for a while. I in my head made up this story about how somebody

might perceive me and then I reminded myself as I prepared to go for my first workout with this
