I was thinking about this because I saw a post from John A-Cuff where basically he was talking

about some of the motivational gurus that we see online and how some of them aren't so much pursuing success.

They're running from trauma and it just looks like they're chasing success, but that doesn't feel the same.

Running from trauma is not the same thing as pursuing joy or building a life that you love.

A lot of people who look like they're doing great things are actually running from something,

and because of that they're pretty miserable. So I want you to think about it. I know for me, most of my years pursuing weight loss, I wasn't chasing health. I was fleeing insecurity.

I had this notion that being overweight was awful and that I wouldn't have friends or I wouldn't have romantic relationships if I was so overweight and I wanted to get as far away from that as possible. I was not pursuing health, I was not pursuing
