thanks so much for joining me today I want to share with you a question that I

started asking my kids, teaching my kids to ask, my toddlers, and the impact

that it has had on me, because as I encourage them to ask more I model the behavior

for them and it has empowered me and upgraded my results in a really meaningful way and I read this

read this recommendation that was about teaching your kids. So I read this recommendation that was about teaching your kids to ask the question,

how can I be helpful?

The reason being we want our kids to learn responsibility

and not just follow orders, right?

How many times are we just looking for our kids to do what we say?

Clean your room, put your dish in the dishwasher. But that is an entirely different thing

from being somebody who initiates

a demonstration of responsibility.

Now, again, this is not about parenting because as I share with

you what I've been doing with my kids what I really want to emphasize is the way

that it has helped me and the way that I believe it can help you. Now my kids are very young, my twins

just turned two and my son Roman is three, they're 15 months apart, and I have

been working with them on having them ask, how can I be helpful?

And what I have found is that the most effective way to get them to ask the question is by observing me asking the question.

It's one thing to say, hey I need you to ask, how can you be helpful?

But kids are mimics.

They model what we do.
