| 0:00.0 | Hello, everybody. Welcome back to the Primal Potential podcast and our consistency 365 |
| 0:08.6 | series. I'm Elizabeth Benton. Thanks so much for joining me. I wanted to share here because |
| 0:15.1 | I realized that I just sent this out via email. And if you're like me, not all emails get |
| 0:21.0 | read, but this was such a powerful story that somebody told me. One of my girlfriends |
| 0:25.8 | that I go to church with was telling me about this story she heard of decades ago when |
| 0:33.8 | transatlantic flights were still very new. And people weren't sure if they could be |
| 0:39.3 | done safely. And she was telling me this story about a pilot who was determined to make |
| 0:45.0 | a transatlantic flight. And shortly after takeoff, he heard a really weird noise. And |
| 0:54.5 | he kind of like trying to figure out is this the engine? Like, no, it's not the engine. |
| 0:58.0 | It sounds like there's like something in the cockpit. And seconds later, he saw a rat scurry |
| 1:05.9 | under his seat. He couldn't reach it. And this was long before autopilot and co-pilots |
| 1:14.0 | and all of that sort of thing. And he he couldn't get to it. So he's paying attention |
| 1:19.9 | and every once in a while, he can kind of see the rat moving around and he realizes that |
| 1:25.3 | the rat is chewing on one of the wires to the control panel. So the guy's kind of freaking |
| 1:33.5 | out, you know, if I just ignore it, I could be really bad. I could be fatal. That could |
| 1:40.8 | cause a serious accident, a serious impairment, a fatal crash, you name it. So he's like, what |
| 1:50.4 | do I do? I can't I can't reach it. And I can only imagine that even if he was able to step |
| 1:58.7 | aside from flying the plane for a second, however, that could be done logistically, it might |
| 2:03.6 | be physically beyond his reach, right? And so after kind of freaking out for a few seconds, |
| 2:12.4 | he thought, I'm going to take the plane up to an altitude where rodents can't breathe. |
| 2:22.0 | And then I'll be all right. I just need to throttle up to an altitude where this rodent can't |
| 2:32.3 | survive. And so my girlfriend was like, I heard the story and I knew you would love it because |
