This is our consistency 365 series. I recently saw somebody share a very simple statement

that I wanted to share with you today. How skilled we are at cataloging what holds us

back. It's a trap. It's a distraction. It can make us feel defeated and it takes our

eyes off the opportunities that we always have to make progress. No matter how small

that progress is, how skilled we are at cataloging what holds us back. Oh, well, I'm older.

My metabolism has changed. I have kids. My schedule is so crazy. I work so much. I don't

have time. I'm taking care of my kids and my parents. I'm not saying those things aren't

true. But when our attention disproportionately fixates on what we perceive to be in the

way, we're not looking at all of the wide open space that exists for us to make progress

within. You do not have to keep track of everything you feel is in the way. You do not

have to keep revisiting. Everything you think is a disadvantage for you and your journey

and your progress towards your goals. Time, money, age, hormones, history, past patterns,

emotions, be somebody who instead gives that energy in much greater fashion with much greater

emotion and emphasis, all the things you can do, all the options you do have all the reasons

for you to make progress, how skilled we are at cataloging what holds us back. Don't be

that person. Don't be that way. Choose to disengage from that story. I can't tell you

how many times I have to tell my clients that I strongly recommend they stop telling the

story of the problem. I know it. They know it. Sometimes with a client, I've heard it six

and seven and ten times, which means they're probably telling it 30 and 50 and 100 and

a thousand times, not just other people, but more significantly to themselves over and
