Hello, everybody. Welcome back to the Primal Potential podcast and our consistency 365 series.

I'm Elizabeth Benton. Hope you're having a great day. Yesterday we were talking about Episode

0:11.6

1121, which resonated so deeply with so many of you. We revisited it in a abbreviated way.

0:18.9

On yesterday's consistency series episode, and I wanted to share with you part of a message

0:24.4

I got in response to Episode 1121. It said, I've been resistant to take action. And your

0:33.1

episode, 1121 reminded me of a story about a British rowing team. They prefaced every

0:40.8

choice with, will it make the boat go faster? Will the beer at the pub at the pub make the

0:47.7

boat go faster? If the answer is no, you don't do it. Preficing every choice with will it make the

0:56.0

boat go faster? And when I saw this comment came in, I said to the person who posted it, I'm going

1:02.5

to think about how I can apply that concept. Will it make the boat go faster to my life? Now,

1:08.7

the initial thought I had was, will this choice make me healthier? But the fact of the matter is,

1:16.2

I know that sometimes I fully intend to make choices that won't necessarily make me healthier,

1:23.6

but once a month to enjoy ice cream with my kids, I want to do that. So I thought about the question,

1:31.8

does this make my life better? And sometimes indulging with my kids, the answer is yes. But if it's

1:40.3

eating a pint of ice cream alone on the couch, no. If it's over indulging or indulging too

1:45.7

frequently, no. In fact, that makes my life darker, dimmer, less energetic, less confident, less

1:55.3

happy, less thriving, right? Those are so many things that come from choices that are made too

2:04.6

often or decisions that come with excess. And that might not be a question for you, but I wanted to

2:12.3

share this with you, this comment from a listener about the British rowing team. They prefaced every

2:19.0

choice with, will it make the boat go faster? That is an example of what it looks like to frame

2:28.3

choices in a way that moves the needle in a way that works for you. Is there a question you can

2:34.3

use to frame your choices so that you're not continuing to say, oh, you only live once or this one
