of Judges chapter 7 verse 15 through 21 notice there these words and so it was that when

Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation that he worshipped he

returned to the camp of Israel and said arise for the Lord has delivered the camp of Midian into your hand. And then he divided

the 300 men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand with empty pictures

and torches inside the pictures. And he said to them, look at me and do likewise, watch, and when I come to the edge of the camp,

you shall do as I do. When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me,

then you also blow the trumpet on every side of the whole camp and say the sword of the Lord and of Gideon.

And so Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outpost of the camp

at the beginning of the middle watch, just as they had posted the watch, and they blew the trumpets

and broke the pictures that were in their hands.

Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pictures that were in their hands. Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pictures.

And they held the torches in their left hand and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing.

And they cried, the sword of the Lord and of Gideon.

And every man stood in his place all around the camp and the whole army

ran and cried out and fled. And I'm speaking today simply from the subject connected, connected,

connected. You may be seated. Here's sometimes when you have a battle, when you have something that shakes your life, that

shakes your faith, that shakes what you thought that you believe, when you are going through

a period of warfare.

And it's not a matter of if you will ever go through warfare. It's a matter of when you go

through the warfare and how you will handle it. And this was Gideon who was a person that, I think that

God allowed Gideon to tell his story in such a way so that it

could identify with us as human beings, not as some mighty man of faith and power, but he
