What my patron account really is about is for

individuals to show their support, to be able to help offset the cost for people

who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford to listen in case if I had to put it behind

a paywall or charge a fee, which of course you've got to do in an effort to actually get paid

as somebody who makes a thing. And yes, I sell ads on the show and that helps

offset a lot of the costs. But with the numbers that the download counts that we have, advertising really doesn't cover it.

It doesn't cover a decent paycheck for me.

It definitely doesn't cover me being able to pay my assistant and pay the

editing service that I use.
