So I had an opportunity to connect with Dr. Narissa Bax all the way from the Falkland Islands.

She has a long history of working on or on and around I should say in on around

Antarctic waters with a focus on biodiversity and conservation.

Right now she's focused within or she's stationed actually within the Falklands in marine protected areas

and she has kind of a subspecialty in deep sea coral.

So she's looking at this sea floor biodiversity and conservation and some of the incredible consequences, I guess we could say, of making sure

that these ecosystems remain healthy. She is currently the Marine and Coastal Program Coordinator for the South Atlantic Environmental

Research Group in the Falkland Islands, and she's also a researcher at the Institute

for Marine and Antarctic Studies and the Center for Marine
