Forgiveness is one of the most difficult qualities to cultivate.

So if you find that as you've gone throughout this series,

you've struggled a bit,

you are experiencing a very normal reaction.

As you're guided through your meditation technique for today, you will cultivate compassion as you forgive someone or some situation.

And as you cultivate this compassion, you may find a sense of freedom as you release this burden. And that's really what it feels like when you're holding onto a grudge or a grievance.

It feels like something's weighing you down because you're constantly being reminded of something that you need to hold on to.

You won't allow yourself to forget or even to work through the pain or anger or even

hatred you may be experiencing because of this grudge or grievance.

That's why when you do forgive, you feel an immediate lightness and sense of relief, this freedom.
