Matthew McKay, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and a professor of psychology at the Wright Institute.

He has authored and co-authored over 40 books.

After Matthew's son died, he learned how to communicate with him in the afterlife.

Hi Matt, thanks a lot for coming on the podcast. Glad to be with you, Simon.

So we're going to talk about your book, Lessons from the Afterlife.

Guidance in this book comes from your son, Jordan.

So could you tell us about Jordan?

My son Jordan has been gone from the physical universe for more than 16 years.

He was murdered, the streets in San Francisco. And as I think any

parent who loses a child feels, I wanted desperately to know whether Jordan still exists, whether that soul I knew is Jordan still exists.

And is he okay wherever he is?

So those are things that just were so deeply, such a deep need I experienced with him after his death.

And so I set out to try to find him in various ways.

You know, I consulted mediums.

I talked to, you know, Felix Lerma and Austin Wells.

And I had some experiences that were meaningful to me.

The mediums were describing what they heard him saying, but it wasn't a conversation.

I couldn't really be part of it.
