This episode I'm reading from Matt McKay's book, Lessons from the Afterlife.

When I've guests on my podcasts, I read their books to work out questions for the episodes.

When reading these books, I always find such amazing information that never makes it into the

podcast. And here, I get a chance to give you a peek into the book. I've put a link to the book

in the show notes, and I did seek permission to record this

extract and the author kindly said yes.

So I'll be reading from chapter 3 which is titled The Nature of a Soul and this is what Matt has written.

The one consciousness, all, created the universe in which to learn, but there were limits

to what it could learn as an observer. So all created smaller units of consciousness, souls,

to enter and interact with its universe. Each soul has awareness, memory and the capacity to choose and the ability to

conceptualize feel and love. Every function of souls, every ability is in the service of learning.
