Hello my friends today we are discussing herbs or as I've gotten a lot of flack

for not pronouncing it as herbs I'm American what can I say I say it herbs and it

probably sounds very unsophisticated I'm sorry but we are talking about

some mistakes that you may make while growing your own herb garden which is one of my

favorite beds to plant out is my herb bed it's just so fun I love it and

typically you can let them grow for quite a while and just enjoy it.

So the first thing that a lot of people will do is they'll go to the nursery

unless you're starting your own herb seeds and they will just sort of

mindlessly pick a plant and you really want to inspect when you're at the

nursery. Nurseries are notorious for having a variety of quality even within the same variety of plant.

So let's say you have a bunch of basil.

Well, there's going to be one of those that's the best Basil at the nursery and your job is to pick that one and ignore the rest.

Don't feel sorry for them. They're probably going to die or they probably won't get purchased. I know it's sad, but it's your garden. So get the best

one that you possibly can. Start out with the best stock material that you can and you're going to be in a good spot.

Now the next mistake people make is they just don't plant them in the right area.

So you need to know the sun-loving herbs versus the shade-loving herbs.

You almost want to plan how you plant them in the bed according to that.

Let's say one part of your bed starts getting shaded out earlier in the day.

Well then put the shade loving herbs in that section and keep those sun loving herbs let's say

like basil in the other side of the bed or perhaps you even want to have two separate beds for the styles of herbs that you want to grow.

Another thing that people will do wrong is they're too afraid to be rough with their herb plant. What happens from almost
